Focus Foundation was founded in 1975 on the tenants of educating vulnerable youth through non-traditional schooling, and providing them with the tools necessary to succeed and grow as young adults should. The foundation provides funding to Whytecliff Learning Centres across British Columbia to fund its programs and the teachers. WLC provides at-risk youth between the ages of 13 to 19 with a safe learning environment that promotes innovative learning and accentuates the strengths and talents of every enrolled youth. The centre's goal is to design its curriculum around the students' strengths, with extra care provided to those youth with severe mental health and behavioural challenges. Vancouver Diamond Campus Lions Clubs aims to fund its next big social event towards this meaningful cause and share with our friends the great things that Focus Foundation is doing.
